Discover the charming and welcoming spa town of Kuressaare on a guided walk through its centre and toward the island’s iconic castle. We begin our relaxed walk near the main bus station and continue through the town where Baltic-German townhouses, the 17th-century Town Hall, the old weighhouse, the former fire station and three churches of different denominations reveal the story of Saaremaa’s past.

Along the route, we pass the former House of the Nobility, now home to Saaremaa Municipality, and pause briefly at the monument dedicated to fallen heroes. As we approach the castle, we see the well-known clockmaker’s house and the peaceful town park that frames the resort area.

The tour concludes at the impressive Episcopal Castle, one of the best-preserved medieval fortifications in the region. Inside, visitors can explore three levels of the fortress; please note that some stairs are steep and uneven, which may present challenges for guests with mobility issues.

Join us for an informative walk through Kuressaare’s most significant sites — a chance to enjoy local history, architecture and atmosphere at an unhurried pace.
