Tour Information & Booking Terms
We want your Saaremaa experience to be smooth and enjoyable. Please take a moment to review how we handle bookings and safety.
1. Booking & Planning
Inquiries: Please use our website form or email info@guidedsaaremaa.com. We usually reply within 24 hours.
Confirmation: Your tour is officially secured once we’ve sent a written confirmation and the payment or deposit is received.
Groups: If booking for a group, the lead guest is our main contact and responsible for sharing all tour details with the other participants.
2. Payments & Tipping
Securing the Date: A 50% deposit (or full payment) is required to reserve your guide. The remaining balance is due by the date agreed upon during our communication.
Fees: Please note that all bank and transaction fees are the responsibility of the payer.
Tipping: This is entirely voluntary. If you feel your guide or driver did an exceptional job, a tip of 10–15% is a wonderful way to show appreciation.
3. Changes & Cancellations
We know plans can change, and we aim to be as flexible as possible.
Your Changes: Need to adjust the date or route? Let us know, and we’ll do our best to make it happen (subject to availability).
Our Adjustments: If extreme weather or safety concerns require us to change the itinerary, we will offer a reschedule or a full refund (less any bank transfer fees).
Cancellation Fees:
1 month+ notice: Full refund (less bank transfer fees).
2 weeks to 1 month notice: 50% cancellation fee.
Less than 2 weeks or No-show: 100% cancellation fee.
We always recommend having travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations.
4. Your Safety & Comfort
On the Move: Some tours involve walking on uneven ground or historic sites. Please wear comfortable shoes and let us know if you have any mobility concerns.
Personal Responsibility: Participation is at your own risk. While your guide is there to ensure a great experience, guests are responsible for following safety instructions and looking after their personal belongings.
5. Insurance & Transport
Travel Insurance: To ensure your peace of mind, we strongly recommend that all guests have their own personal travel insurance covering accidents, illness, and belongings.
Vehicle Safety: Our drivers take great pride in providing a safe and professional journey. Please note that Guided Saaremaa operates as a coordinator for these services; liability for any unforeseen incidents during transport or the tour is limited to what is required by Estonian law and does not cover circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure). By confirming, you agree that your primary coverage for personal risks remains your own travel insurance.
6. Feedback & Privacy
Privacy: Your data is safe with us. We only use it to organize your tour and never share it with third parties unnecessarily.
Feedback: If something isn’t right, please tell your guide immediately! We want to fix it on the spot. Formal feedback can be submitted in writing within 4 days of the tour.
