Discover the Wild Beauty and Stories of the Sõrve Peninsula
Join us on a journey to the southern tip of Saaremaa — the Sõrve Peninsula, where dramatic coastal landscapes meet powerful history.
Starting in Kuressaare, we travel through scenic island countryside to Tehumardi, home to the Night Battle Monument commemorating one of the fiercest WWII battles on Saaremaa. In Salme, we visit the remarkable site where Viking ship burials were discovered, offering a rare glimpse into the island’s ancient past.
Heading south, we pass Mõntu Harbour, connected to the dramatic evacuation of islanders in 1944, and stop near a hidden Cold War relic — a former Soviet missile or nuclear storage site deep in the forest.
The highlight of the tour is the iconic Sõrve Lighthouse. Climb to the top for breathtaking views where the Baltic Sea meets the Gulf of Riga. On clear days, you may even see Latvia.
Before returning to Kuressaare, we visit Ohessaare’s fascinating coastal rock formations and pass WWII anti-tank pyramids — silent reminders of the peninsula’s strategic past.
A day filled with nature, history, and unforgettable views — discover one of Saaremaa’s most unique places with us.
